Welcome to the Goldmine -- A Mountain and Sky Nature Retreat in Crestone, Colorado

Nestled among two acres of private wooded forest at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the Goldmine is one of Crestone's most stunning adobe homes -- a sanctuary for writing, meditation, yoga practice, or the kind of deep rest that only nature and quiet can offer.

Step outside to a wrap around deck where you can see both sunrise over the mountains and sunsets over the valley. Watch stars fill the sky from the deck. About Moffat, Colorado

Moffat is a very small and rural town in the middle of the San Luis Valley in Southern Colorado. With a population of just 100 or so the town is small but the rural county brings the population up to about 6500. The industry and economy in the area is mostly agricultural with potatoes and cannabis farms making up most of the activity.

Area 420 is a new 420-acre cannabis business park in Moffat that attracts cannabis growers from around the country. Our Grain Silo homes are located right night to the development you will be sure to see and smell the farms during your stay with us!

Pinewood Family Retreat House

This open concept 3 Bedroom and 2 Bathroom house features a well-lit screen porch, spacious and open living, dining and kitchen area TV with books and games for entertainment. The adjoining kitchen is very spacious and has a full-sized refrigerator, electric oven and range, dishwasher and wood burning stove. Sliding glass doors to the back deck and fenced back yard so you can enjoy outdoor dining on the back patio adjoining the kitchen and soak up the views and mountain air!


The detached two car garage has been converted into a game room; featuring a pool table and dart board. The windows have large fans for ventilation, and the garage doors are screened so you can open them for fresh air and views! We also have a small AC Unit in case it gets warm during the summer.
